The difference between successful people and very successful people is that very successful people say ‘no’ to almost everything.

Your calendar is full. But is it full of the right things?
Most people plan reactively. The top 1% plan with clarity. Or pay someone to plan for them.
If you don't have an Executive Assistant, that’s the purpose of your Recalibration Day - one day a month to zoom out, reset, and reload.
What is a Recalibration Day?
It's a monthly ritual designed to:
Reflect on what’s working (and what isn’t)
Make smarter, more intentional commitments
Re-align your time with what actually matters
All you need is 2 hours at the end or start of each month.
1. Review
Ask yourself:
What moved the needle this month?
What felt heavy, forced, or draining?
What did I avoid that deserves attention?
Write down 3 to 5 bullets. The goal is clarity, not volume.
2. Recalibrate
Look at your calendar for the last month. Then ask:
“Does this reflect my values, goals, and priorities?”
Cut the noise. Stop people pleasing. Reclaim time for:
Self care
Relationships
Focused, deep work
Strategic thinking
Passion projects
3. Realign
Zoom out even further, beyond the last month. Are you playing the right game?
Ask:
What am I building towards longer term?
Is this path still aligned with the life I want?
What would “better” look like next month/quarter?
Even 10 minutes of realignment can save you months/years of wasted effort.
4. Reload
Now plan forward. Lock in 3 to 5 non-negotiables for the month ahead.
Think:
Key outcomes at work
Habits to protect or introduce
Time blocks that need defending (deep work, recovery, workouts, kid's school activities)
Your calendar should reflect your ambition - not your weekly to-do list.
📌 Pro tip: Automate this with a recurring 2-hour block titled “Recalibration Day” in your calendar every 30 days.

Performance Kit: Blue Light Glasses
Lucid Frames with All-Day Lenses from Whoop
I spend hours in front of screens every day. And it used to wreck my sleep.
Now I throw on a pair of blue light blocking glasses when it starts getting dark.
It sounds minor - but this one tweak has noticeably improved my sleep quality and ability to wind down.
